(Guess I can say I have the same complaint in real life so this isn’t surprising) I played in the desert worlds for a year and a half following seasons’ release just to escape the weather before I figured out how to disable the pack entirely, hence all of the past tense in this post. The formulaic approach is felt as you play in a world, and it starts to annoy me. The weather presets for each season in particular worlds are too cookie-cutter imo, like in windenburg it will snow/blizzard every single winter with no variation ever.
I had ReShade presets specifically for these moments because I can’t stand it. I like the sims art style for its color and vibrancy, but these weather effects made the game ugly. granite falls in any season besides summer.Ĭertain weather conditions-cloudy, rainy, snowy-make the game extremely dark with a blue tint. Weather is not optimized so it’s laggy in certain conditions, and it makes other paid content harder to engage with i.e. I would need a break to just have normal gameplay, and on that front, seasons has very little to offer. Sometimes I would get “holiday-ed out” after experiencing 3 or 4 back to back. But other than those, the only other gameplay elements I can remember are the leaf piles and ice rinks. It’s not all bad-I liked the holiday system a lot and made my own for every season.
Gameplay-wise seasons is incredibly lacking.
